Analyis of the race
Few races of this kind are put to bed with the contempt NOBLE MINSTREL showed his rivals under a supremely confident ride from Tony McCoy. Under different tactics (hold-up), on better ground and equipped with a tongue-tie, the Jim Best-trained bottomweight made a big move to circumnavigate eight rivals on the bottom turn and was in total command in the straight.
Best said: "The things we did today worked wonders for the horse and we'll have to go again under a penalty."
Camden Four made some impression between the last two hurdles to return to a level of form last seen in his bumper days. The addition of cheekpieces and a longer trip made some sort of difference to him.
That's For Sure returned from a break to put in a promising run. Out with the washing going out on the final circuit, he made gradual progress in the final half mile to get into the money. Lightly raced, he should progress from this providing he comes out of the race okay.
