Excellerator soon tracking leaders, led over 2f out, edged left final furlong, driven out
Hip Hip Hooray dwelt, soon driven along, headway and switched right over 1f out, kept on to take 2nd near finish
Bold Rose led until over 2f out, kept on same pace
Eden Park with leaders, kept on same pace approaching final furlong
First Choice with leaders, took keen hold, weakened over 1f out
Dispol Mulofky chased leaders, ridden, outpaced and lost place over 2f out, kept on final furlong
Rocket Ruby chased leaders, weakened over 1f out
Meg Jicaro chased leaders, lost place over 1f out, heavily eased
Fantasies started slowly, soon behind, eased final furlong
But that cannot be held against EXCELLERATOR, who made an enormously impressive debut and looked a class or two above her rivals - she had reportedly been under consideration for the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot and is clearly a good deal better than the average Fibresand two-year-old winner.
Soon prominent, she moved easily into the lead after halfway and came clear without being asked a serious question, winning very easily despite hanging left in front. Gauging the merit of two-year-olds who easily dispose of modest opposition is never easy but suffice it to say that she won with any amount to spare and is well worth the chance to show what she can do in significantly stronger company.
Bold Rose also improved on her debut effort, leading to halfway, while Eden Park also showed a little more this time, but like the runner-up, neither was remotely in the same league as the winner.
First Choice did best of the other newcomers, a shade keen and weakening in the final 1f, and should improve.
Rocket Ruby could not confirm apparent debut promise, while Meg Jicaro was again below her best.
