The Dial House steadied start, held up in rear, ridden 3f out, headway 2f out, driven to take narrow lead final 100yds
Rio Royale led, hard ridden well over 1f out, held on well until headed final 100yds, kept on gamely
Asian Tale started slowly, behind, ridden to chase leaders inside final 2f, one pace final furlong
In Transit tracked leading pair, driven along and outpaced when not much room from 2f out until over 1f out, kept on final furlong
Hatchet Man ridden leaving stalls to chase leader, hung badly left and faltered 2f out, soon lost place
Having shown abundant promise on his two previous starts at Kempton and Great Leighs, Jamie Osborne's colt handled these undulations well, recovering from a slow start under Shane Kelly to deliver his challenge on the outer.
Rio Royale turned the tables on In Transit from this course ten days ago. With a 6lb pull, he tried to burn them off from the front and kept on well to go down fighting.
Asian Tale had run out a decisive winner of a claimer. She never looked like scoring on this debut for her new connections and finished as close as could be expected.
