Sunnyside Tom soon led, pushed along over 2f out, joined and ridden well over 1f out, driven inside final furlong and stayed on well
Stellite tracked winner, effort over 2f out, soon ridden to challenge and every chance until driven inside final furlong and no extra last 75yds
Champain Sands held up towards rear, headway 3f out, ridden to chase leading pair well over 1f out, soon driven and no impression inside final furlong
King Of The Moors chased leaders, effort over 2f out, soon ridden and one pace from over 1f out
Malinsa Blue chased leaders, ridden along over 3f out, weakened over 2f out
Jamieson Gold in touch, headway to chase leaders halfway, ridden along 3f out and soon weakened
Tender Moments always in rear, behind final 2f
SUNNYSIDE TOM had not won since his two-year-old days, but he got the run of the race and kept on to end that sequence.
Stellite came into the race in good form, but all seven of his career wins have been over 7f. This was not a true test, but he was clear of the rest off his new mark, so lack of stamina could not be blamed for his defeat.
King Of The Moors can make the running but did not on this occasion and never featured.
