Ronaldsay held up in touch, switched left over 1f out, soon ridden, ran on to lead post
Royal Fantasy held up, headway over 3f out, led over 1f out, ridden and hung left inside final furlong, headed post
Montrachet chased leaders, ridden over 1f out, stayed on same pace
Candy Mountain tracked leader, led over 2f out, ridden and headed over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong
Fongs Gazelle led, ridden and headed over 2f out, weakened final furlong
Lisathedaddy slowly into stride, headway over 6f out, ridden and weakened over 2f out
RONALDSAY was far from unexposed after 16 starts and she has had her limitations revealed in Listed company, but she is fairly useful and proved up to defying a BHA rating of 95, waited with and having to be switched right before coming through to get up near the finish.
But her victory owed something to the quirks of Royal Fantasy, who looked the winner as she moved smoothly into the lead over a furlong out, but she hung left and was caught close home. She has plenty of ability but it is no coincidence that she has been placed in six of her last seven starts without winning, as she is less than straightforward.
