REDFORD is more than likely to be one of them after a highly encouraging reappearance, racing a shade keenly on his first run in eight months but travelling smoothly and making ground in fine style to lead inside the final furlong. He was less impressive whenpush came to shove in the closing stages but this was the first time he had been involved in a battle and he found the necessary to hold on.
Redford had not looked particularly well treated on the bare form he had shown in maiden company last year butis a good deal better than that suggested, and is likely to improve a fair bit again. The lightly raced colt will remain of strong interest for handicaps even after reassessment, so it would be no surprise if he goes close in the Britannia Handicap at Royal Ascot.
Decent nursery winner Choose Your Moment had not enjoyed luck in running on his reappearance and proved here that he has trained on into a useful three-year-old, ridden more positively and leading from halfway until inside the final furlong, though he will be hit again by the handicapper.
Albaqaa, racing on the opposite side of the track, also kept on - this was the stiffest task he had faced for his new stable and he looks still to be improving.
Lazy Days kept on nicely after getting outpaced. He was one of the least experienced in the line-up and has further improvement in him, so is worth bearing in mind.
Redesignation led to halfway and ran creditably, but Illusion could not quite confirm the promise of her Windsor maiden win facing stiffer company, weakening inside the final furlong after holding every chance over a furlong out.
Classic Descent and Tarkheena Prince ran creditably - each came here on the back of a maiden victory and the fact that neither could finish in the first seven underlines the impression that this is good form. Cuban Missile was never dangerous after a slow start.
