Redarsene held up, raced keenly, headway under pressure over 1f out, edged left and led well inside final furlong
The Last Bottle soon led, headed 7f out, chased leader, ridden to lead inside final furlong, soon headed and unable to quicken
Alfredtheordinary led 7f out, ridden over 1f out, headed and no extra inside final furlong
Zeffirelli chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, stayed on same pace final furlong
Kool Katie held up in touch, ridden over 1f out, no extra inside final furlong
Spent held up, switched right over 1f out, staying on when not clear run and switched left inside final furlong, never reached leaders
Artistic Light tracked leaders, ridden over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong
Purple Ransom prominent, ridden over 2f out, weakening when edged left from over 1f out
Reel Man held up, never dangerous
Opening Hand chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, soon weakened, edged right from over 1f out
Mouse White slowly into stride, always in rear
Dynamo Dave mid-division, ridden halfway, weakened 3f out, eased
Wabbraan held up, ridden over 3f out, no chance when clipped heels and fell inside final furlong
The winner hadn't shaped with much promise prior to his latest Newmarket maiden fifth, but he is firmly on the right tracks now and is lightly raced enough to be able to build on this.
The Last Bottle ran a stormer in defeat, for he chased the pace throughout, and despite coming under pressure a long way out he kept on bravely to pull a couple of lengths clear of the rest.
Handicap debutant Zeffirelli finished his race with some purpose, but Kool Katie looked a bit one paced, while there was a nasty incident when Wabbraan clipped heels and crashed out just inside the final furlong, but both he and his jockey walked away apparently unscathed.
