Etain chased leaders, ridden 4f out, stayed on under pressure
King´s Fable slowly into stride, held up, headway on outside over 2f out, ridden to lead and edged left over 1f out, hung right and headed well inside final furlong
Alonso De Guzman led, ridden over 2f out, edged left and headed over 1f out, no extra inside final furlong
Qaasi held up, raced keenly, not clear run over 2f out, headway over 1f out, no extra inside final furlong
My Mentor chased leader, ridden over 3f out, weakened towards finish
Desert Leader chased leaders, ridden 4f out, weakened well over 2f out
The winner, whose last success came over course and distance in December off a 2lb lower mark, has shown mixed form this year and he's not the most reliable, but he responded well to his riders urgings here to burst through and lead close home.
Etain stayed on well into second having been in touch throughout, and she built on two quiet starts so far this term.
Alonso De Guzman had an uncontested lead for the most part, but hecouldn't sustain his effort in the straight, while Qaasi travelled well out the back, but he didn't really pick up when the gap opened up in the straight.
