Blessed Place made all, shaken up inside final furlong, ran on well
Smirfys Gold always prominent, chased winner over 3f out, ridden final furlong, stayed on same pace
Charlotte Grey chased leaders, not much room and lost place over 3f out, stayed on under pressure final furlong
Ducal Regancy Red chased leaders, ridden halfway, weakened over 1f out
Calypso King not much room start, headway over 3f out, ridden over 1f out, hung left and weakened final furlong
Scarlett Heart started slowly, outpaced, stayed on inside final furlong, never nearer
Stormburst soon outpaced
Law Maker soon outpaced
Twinned went right start, headway over 3f out, ridden, hung right and weakened over 1f out
A couple of lengths clear turning for home, the winner began to draw away in the closing stages to score with a fair degree of authority. Rated much lower on the all-weather than turf, he appreciated this drop in grade having run so well in a stronger race at Windsor last time and he's very hard to catch when in this mood.
Smirfys Gold tracked the pace travelling well, but he couldn't close the gap on the winner when coming under pressure, and he is still to get off the mark.
Twinned is probably a bit better than the bare form, because he was slowly away and made a lot of ground up, before weakening in the home straight.
