Sohcahtoa led after 1f, driven out final furlong
Total Gallery slowly away, soon in touch, ran on to go 2nd inside final furlong, held near finish
Woolston Ferry always prominent, every chance entering final furlong, lost 2nd inside final furlong
Gyr held up, headway 2f out, kept on inside final furlong, never nearer
Killmarnock led for 1f, every chance until weakened final furlong
Custody held up, ridden over 2f out, soon beaten
Arushore slowly away, soon in touch, weakened over 1f out
Cashed Up slowly away, always behind
The fact that Richard Hughes was on SOHCAHTOA suggested he'd prove best of the Hannon duo, rather than newcomer Arushore, and that's exactly how it panned out, the winner putting his experience to good use to fend off newcomer Total Gallery, who looks a readymade maiden winner.
Woolston Ferry had been beaten a short head on his debut over course and distance a week earlier, and this looked a fine opportunity to go one better. However he looked to be beaten fair and square by two better colts on the day.The first four finished six lengths clear of Killmarnock, who in turn was a fair way ahead of Custody, who hails from powerful connections and looks sure to improve for this his debut.
