Little White Lie chased leaders, ridden and effort to lead over 2f out, ran on gamely under pressure, all out
Unshakable slowly into stride, took keen hold, held up in midfield, ridden and headway over 2f out, chased winner over 1f out, kept on well under pressure
Vainglory raced in midfield, ridden and effort on outer 3f out, disputed 2nd just over 1f out, kept on under pressure
Vitznau held up in midfield, headway over 2f out, chased leaders and edged left inside final furlong, kept on same pace
Emerald Wilderness chased leading pair, going well 3f out, ridden to chase winner 2f out, held head high under pressure, lost 2nd over 1f out, weakened final furlong
Royal Power steadied start, held up in rear, headway and not much room just over 2f out, keeping on when short of room and snatched up inside final furlong
Kingsdale Orion slowly into stride, held up towards rear, ridden and little response well over 2f out, kept on past beaten horses final furlong
Mujood bustled up into midfield after start, headway on inner over 2f out, getting outpaced when short of room and switched right well over 1f out, no chance after
Prince Of Thebes held up in midfield on outer, ridden and headway over 2f out, weakened entering final furlong
Fajr held up in rear, short lived effort on inner well over 2f out, soon beaten
Charlie Tokyo slowly into stride, always behind
Prince Of Light chased leader, ridden and every chance 3f out, weakened quickly 2f out
Annemasse led until ridden and headed over 2f out, weakening when short of room 2f out, eased final furlong
Dream Lodge raced in midfield until lost place and behind over 5f out, well behind last 3f
Last year's winner Unshakable ran a blinder in second, especially as he was 3lb higher and lacked a previous race this time. His connections are eyeing an extremely valuable handicap at Sandown on Eclipse day, and he has a good record on the track.
Vainglory had ideal conditions and made a big effort on the outside. He was never going to get there, but this was another excellent run from the colt, who was dropped back in trip, as 1m2f is thought to stretch him.
The 2006 German 2,000 Guineas winner Royal Power shaped very well on just his second start for David Nicholls, as he was dropped right out but made good headway up the straight to get on to the heels of the placed horses. He was still running on when short of room entering the final furlong.
There was a gap back to ex-Irish Kingsdale Orion, who hasn't recovered his best form, and Mujood, who has had a busy time and was below form, having needed chasing along early on to get a position. Dream Lodge looked to have a decent chance, but he was never going well and trailed home in last.
*Ryan Moore reported that Dream Lodge lost his left fore shoe.
*Joe Fanning reported that Prince Of Light had no more to give.
