Analyis of the race

A competitive sprint handicap and the two least-exposed horses in the line-up fought out the finish. WHISKEY JUNCTION had won a maiden over slightly shorter at the course last month and was obviously not overburdened off a mark of 72 for his handicapdebut. He showed a willing attitude to rally back past the runner-up and looks to be going the right way now that he has recovered from a setback which saw him sidelined for much of last season. He can be placed to win again.
