Ross Moor in rear, headway 4f out, stayed on to lead inside final 2f, driven out final furlong
Hannicean chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, stayed on to chase winner inside final furlong but never any chance
Venir Rouge in rear, headway from 2f out, stayed on strongly under pressure final furlong, going on close home
Zaif chased leaders, ridden and kept on from 2f out, one pace inside final furlong
Spirit Of Adjisa led to 7f out, ridden and outpaced over 2f out, stayed on again inside final furlong
Olimpo took keen hold, chased leader, led 7f out, quickened 4 lengths clear over 3f out, headed inside final 2f and soon weakened
Blacktoft pulled hard in rear, stayed on final 2f, never in contention
Abydos took keen hold, in touch until weakened over 3f out
Hannicean was always chasing the pace, but having gone into second inside the final furlong, he had no chance of getting to grips with the winner.
Venir Rouge was outpaced at the back of the field early in the straight, but he stayed on to some purpose and almost snatched second.
The former Godolphin gelding Abydos was too keen on his debut forAndy Stringer.
