Carlitos Spirit chased leaders, driven along 2f out, stayed on well throughout final furlong, going on close home, not quite get up
Cactus King in rear, headway from 3f out, switched right over 1f out, stayed on strongly inside final furlong, going on close home
Overturn slight advantage after 1f, narrowly headed over 2f out, stayed pressing leaders under pressure from over 1f out, kept on gamely, outpaced near finish

The former Godolphin winner TWILIGHT STAR, a bargain buy at Tattersalls late last year, was given a patient ride and made his effort on the outside of the pack. In front inside the final two furlongs, it was getting desperately close at the finish, but he never really looked as if he would be caught.
Very much going on at the finish wereboth Carlitos Spirit, who enjoys this ground but got a little bit outpaced after being keen early on, and Cactus King, who is more consistent now than he used to be. They both came here in good form and give the race a solid look.
Overturn, who was a good maiden winner here as a juvenile but had been off the track for 607 days, ran a blinder in fourth, making much of the running and sticking on very well indeed. He reportedly has not had any serious problems, but nevertheless this was a terrific effort after such a long absence.
Zero Cool, third in a fair race last time, never looked like getting involved this time, and his ex-French stablemate Right Stuff showed next to nothing on his debut over here, although he will no doubt do better in time.
Ex-Irish Kestrel Cross, making his debut for Luca Cumani, was making a bit of an effort, but not looking a serious danger, when he got a bit of a nudge from the winner inside the last three furlongs. He had been off the track 438 days and connections will have learned from this.
Philip Robinson reported that Russian Epic had a breathing problem.
