Calley Ho held up, headway well over 1f out, 2 lengths third and staying on when left in lead close home
Going Time with leaders, ridden 2f out, 3 lengths fourth and one pace when left second close home
Custard Cream Kid in touch, driven and outpaced halfway, rallied final furlong, left third close home, no impression
Little Tokyo close up until ridden and no extra over 1f out, held when left fourth close home
The Canny Dove soon behind and outpaced, no impression from 2f out
Aegean Warning held up outside, driven halfway, never dangerous
Nchike in touch until weakened over 2f out
Another Echo behind and hung right throughout, never on terms
Ed´s Pride close up to halfway, soon lost place
Lucky Dan slowly into stride, soon prominent, effort 2f out, 1 1/2 lengths second and keeping on when badly hampered and unseated rider close home
Verinco led, ridden over 2f out, edged right over 1f out, edged left inside final furlong, 1 1/2 lengths in front and in command when jinked right and unseated rider close home
He had jinked at the same spot on the way down and we'll probably neverknow what caused the problem, even though a racegoer waving a newspaper and the mown strip across the finishing line were both blamed by some.
Lucky Dan was around a length down when he was hampered and unseated his jockey by Verinco and this was a decent effort by the debutant, who missed the break before soon recovering to race with the leaders.
CALLY HO was booked for third before finding himself a fortuitous winner.
Despite drifting in the market, Going Time was the paddock pick but, despite having every chance coming to the furlong pole, she looked a shade one-paced.
Little Tokyo looked in need of the race on his first run and should come on for it.
The Canny Dove appeared a decent type and should also improve a fair bit for his racecourse introduction.
Aegean Warning's stable is not in top gear just yet but this wasn't a bad run from a wide draw from this small newcomer.
