Tomina soon tracked leader, upsides from halfway, edged left 2f out but soon led, drew clear under pressure
Alexander Guru held up in last trio, not clear run briefly over 2f out, progress over 1f out, stayed on to take 2nd last 100yds, no chance with winner
Critical Stage made most, hit rail over 2f out, headed well over 1f out, faded
Floodlight Fantasy tracked leaders, ridden and no progress over 2f out, no danger after
Mixing prominent, ridden over 2f out, faded over 1f out
Saloon held up in last, ridden well over 3f out, some progress 2f out, kept on but no danger
Spellman dwelt, pushed along most of way to stay in touch, ran very wide bend 3f out and beaten after
Ardmaddy tracked leaders, ridden 4f out, wide bend 3f out and weakened
Sol Rojo held up in last trio, progress over 2f out, ridden to go 2nd just over 1f out when broke down badly and virtually pulled up
He was up with the pace throughout and pulled away from Alexander Guru, who stayed on and appeared to get this longer trip.
Critical Stage disputed the lead with the winner for much of the way but hit the rail early in the straight and could not respond when that rival kicked for home.
There was a sad postscript as all-weather stalwart Sol Rojo had just gone in pursuit of the winner when breaking a hind leg about a furlong from home. Five of his seven career wins were on Polytrack.
