Klynch made all, ridden clear from over 1f out, ran on well
Red Rossini pressed winner to 2f out, left behind from over 1f out, held on for 2nd
Scrapper Smith tracked leaders, progress on inner 2f out, pressed for 2nd final furlong but no chance with winner
Kitty Allen at back of main group, pushed along and passed 6 rivals final furlong to snatch 4th on line
Dalepak Flyer pressed leading pair on outer, ridden and easily outpaced from over 1f out
The Saucy Snipe pressed leading trio but raced on wide outside, lost ground bend 2f out, no danger after
Norfolk Broads started slowly, soon in touch in rear, some progress on inner over 1f out, one pace and no chance after
Fyelehk reared start, at back of main group, shuffled along over 1f out, no real progress but kept on
Betoula in touch towards rear, no progress 2f out, faded
Farriers Gate chased leaders until weakened 2f out
Kingsgate Storm nearly unseated rider leaving stalls, always detached in last after, eased final furlong
He has progressed with racing, has scope and looks capable of getting an extra furlong, but in the meantime connections are considering something like the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot.
Red Rossini, a 65,000gns first foal of a mile winner, had clearly been showing a fair amount at home and ran well for his in-form yard, despite being no match for the winner.
He looks more than capable of winning races on this evidence, while Scrapper Smith showed considerable improvement on his debut and the drop in trip seemed to suit.
Fyelehk and particularly Kingsgate Storm lost their chances with slow starts. George Baker, rider of Kingsgate Storm, reported that the colt stumbled upon leaving the stalls. Alan Munro reported that Fyelehk missed the break and would not face the kickback.
