So, though DANCING DEANO had looked to have a stiffish task on both RacingPost ratings and BHA ratings, he may not actually have improved that much on recent efforts to win as he did. Leading over a furlong out, he kept on well to score comfortably. He was visually impressive but could be in trouble if the handicapper takes this form literally.
Elusive Warrior was also seemingly not favoured by the weights, but he led over three furlongs out until over a furlong out. He clearly remains in good form, though is another who would be vulnerable if the handicapper overreactsto this effort.
Strathmore was one of those better treated at the weights and he ran just respectably, ahead of West End Lad who ran one of his better races.
Of the more fancied contenders, Blue Empire was mulish going to post and ran moderately and Ninth House, who was best in at these weights, did not seem to handle the surfaceon his first run on Fibresand.
