Just Rob continues to run well in defeat and is surely deserving of a winning opportunity. Mangham, stepping up slightly in trip and running on much softer ground than when winning here last time, made a spirited effort off a mark of 78. A couple of lengths clear approaching the final furlong, he was gradually worn down; he should win again.
