Analyis of the race

Whitbarrow and Bertie Southstreet ensured this was run at a strong pace but even so little got into it from the back and TOMS LAUGHTER had the pace to sit close to the front-runners before quickening to the front just inside the distance. He had more than enough in the locker to assert from the challengers despite his 6lb penalty. He is proving a revelation this year, this is his fifth win from seven starts and his trainer thinks he's not done with yet.

Love On Sight, making her debut for Jim Boyle, made good headway from off the pace, switched wide, to throw down her challenge but her effort flattened out slightly in the closing stages. Still, given this ground probably wouldn't have been ideal, she ran well.

The front three came clear of Tiger Trail who looks badly handicapped now.
