Liberty Belle raced against near side rail, led 2f, led again over 1f out, soon ridden clear, in command after
Wynberg dropped in last from wide draw and hanging, switched to outer and effort 2f out, stayed on to take 2nd inside final furlong and edged left, no chance with winner
Mandelieu tracked leaders, not quicken over 1f out and lost place slightly, kept on inside final furlong, never able to challenge
Enodoc held up in 5th, effort towards outer over 1f out, one pace and no real impression
Hobson restless before start, pushed up to chase leaders, ridden and did not quicken over 1f out, faded inside final furlong
Swindon Town Flyer pressed leader, led after 2f to over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong
Just A Dancer always in last trio, ridden and no response well over 1f out
A run-of-the-mill sprint to get things underway but a welcome winner for John Best with LIBERTY BELLE showing terrific speed from the gates to blast out and race prominently before going into a clear lead passing the furlong pole and staying on to win pretty decisively.
She apparently appreciated the cut in the ground having foundconditions too fast at Lingfield on her return and her trainer said afterwards that she's a horse with plenty of pace.
Mandelieu stayed on in the closing stages, but he was always close to the pace and he lacked the change of gear to threaten the winner.
Enodoc threatened to play a part before just keeping on at the one pace in the closing stages along with the heavily backed Hobson who had every chance but couldn't sustain his effort.
