Black Rain held up towards rear, headway over 2f out, ridden and kept on approaching final furlong, nearest finish
Trianon took keen hold, tracked leaders, headway over 2f out, ridden well over 1f out and soon weakened

St Johns Wood unruly stalls and dwelt, soon in midfield until lost place and pulled up over 7f out
It was a game win by LATERLY, who set the pace, and ran on with great gusto to get home in a driving finish. He's a tough and progressive sort, and should continue to give a good account.
Ephorus was held up, came wide in the straight and, though he ran on well, he just failed to get up. He certainly stays this trip well, and as this was only his third run, further progress is on the cards and he'll soon find a handicap.
My Mate Max was stepping up in trip and shaped as though it was well within his compass.
bSaleima spoilt her chance by racing too keenly early on, and, after being well behind early, Black Rain, ran on to finish a creditable sixth, with Trianon, who was too keen early, back in seventh.
