Analyis of the race

The ground was just on the soft side of good. This was an ordinary seller, but it was won in good style by MADAME JOURDAIN, who was having her first run in this bottom grade. She did it well, travelling comfortably, drawing clear in the last 2f and keeping on despite running green in front. She had a good draw, but might be good enough to win a claimer having been sold afterwards for 7,200gns.

Rioja Ruby had every chance, Kneesy Earsy Nosey, another previous winner, missed the break and never threatened, and though Approved improved a bit on her debut effort, this was a modest event and she'll need to improve again to win.
