She had been a little difficult at the stalls, but had tracked the leader from the outset and her jockey sent her to the front over three furlongs from home, where the injection of pace soon saw her build up a healthy advantage. She always looked likely to hold on in the final furlong and, on this showing, can find further success at this level.
Cool Judgement was in the wrong place in a slowly run race, as he was held up early and had to race wide to make progress in the final half-mile. To his credit he kept on well and kept on without quite getting there, and he can make amends in a similar event next time.
Sweet Lightning stayed on quite well in the closing stages and can win softer races than this.
Colorado Blue was close up throughout, but could only keep on at the same pace in the closing stages.
Hepburn Belle came from off the pace, wasn't suited by how the race unfolded and could do better.
