Free Agent tracked leaders, ridden to lead 1f out, hampered well inside final furlong, ran on
Donativum with leader, ridden to lead over 1f out, soon hung left and headed, running on when swerved right and bumped winner well inside final furlong, lost action and eased
Senatorial led, raced keenly, ridden and headed over 1f out, no extra inside final furlong
Battle Of Hastings held up, pushed along halfway, headway over 1f out, not trouble leaders
Special Cuvee slowly into stride, soon prominent, ridden and weakening when edged right over 1f out
Duke Of Aquitaine chased leaders over 4f
Superstitious Me prominent, ridden over 2f out, weakened well over 1f out
Billy Beetroot held up, headway over 3f out, weakened well over 1f out
He looks sure to improve considerably for this experience and will step up to seven furlongs in the Chesham Stakes which was won by another progeny of Dr Fong, Maze, 12 months ago.
Donativum improved on his debut effort at Newbury and was soon tracking the leader and led over a furlong out. His ears went back and he hung left when asked for maximum effort, and when his jockey administered the stick to correct him he then hung right and bumped the winner inside the final furlong.
This has to go down to inexperience on this occasion, and he has to be given another chance in similar company next time.
Battle Of Hastings looked quite fit but as though the experience would bring him on. He kept on at the same pace after coming under pressure at halfway. He will know a lot more next time and could well improve for this run.
Special Cuvee shaped with some promise and can improve.
Duke Of Acquitaine was soon tracking the leader and faded over a furlong out - he is another for whom nurseries await.
