Shakespeare's Son, another maiden, came out best of the rest, comfortably clear of the remainder. He should be a able to win something similar.
Lujano, returning from a break of more than five months, shaped well, racing prominently and only flattening out entering the last; he should be all the better for this outing.
Complete Frontline was not disgraced and neither was Moonage Daydream, running under a 6lb penalty after his long-priced success in a similar event at Redcar last week. The way the race was run, it probably wasn't a help that he was drawn so high.
