Mr Aitch held up off pace, headway to track leaders 3rd, went 2nd on bit 3f out, led between last 2f, hit last, ridden and all out
Spiritual Society took keen hold, tracked leader, led after 3rd, headed between last 2f, hit last, kept on run-in
Monsieur took keen hold, led until after 3rd, joined leader 4th, rallied run-in, stayed on towards finish
Desert Rat in rear, headway and prominent 3rd, lost place 5th, headway 3f out, kept on one pace
Wally Wonder chased leaders, driven, outpaced and lost place 6th, kept on between last 2
Primus Inter Pares tracked leaders, lost place 6th, soon behind
But they went a good pace up front which suited MR AITCH, who had performed well over 2m4f here the previous month and got the run of the race this time, held up, moving up to track the pacemakers from four out and moving smoothly into the lead between the last two flights. He hit the final flight and seemed to idle in front so is better than his winning margin might suggest so could well defy a rise in the weights - he handles this type of ground well.
Early leader Monsieur also ran well, rallying in the latter stages and looks to have found a bit of form.
But Desert Rat was outpaced from halfway and though he kept on late he was never in serious contention. Neither could Wally Wonder and Primus Inter Pares looks well out of form at present.
