Selling winner Castlemainevillage was not at all disgraced after an 8lb rise in the weights, rallying from two out but hanging left going to the last, and is another who looks to be going the right way.
Runaround Sue had run only three times over hurdles previously and is another who looked to show some improvement, leading to the sixth flight and going on again from the eighth until going to the last.The first four came clear of thenever-dangerous Top Ram and Gaelic Present - they both look just modest as hurdlers. Switching to handicaps did not seem to help the lightly raced Valentia Island.Hexham winner Cash On Friday was still well handicapped on his chase formbut weakened three out and was ultimately well held.
