So it was a good opportunity for EVEN FLO, who had reportedly lost her confidence after being badly hampered over hurdles at Towcester one day, but has been nursed back to form and gained a belated first success in fair style, leading 3 out, clear at the next and eased in the closing stages.
This is not form to get carried away with but she was well on top at the line and is clearly a fair bit better than her current mark, so would have decent prospects of following up, even after reassessment.
Chasing debutant Hilal hit the tenth fence but held every chance when he pecked three out. He clearly needs to brush up his jumping but has a bit of potential over fences.
Front-running Log On Intersky is also well treated nowadays but he was done with when hampered 3 out.
The well-handicapped Lyon was heavily backed on his first run for a new stable, but lost his place soon after a mistake at the ninth fence and was pulled up. He appears to have problems.
Jockey Robert Thornton reported that Lyon pulled up lame. The vet reported that Adecco was lame.
