Chabrimal Minster took keen hold, with leaders, led 11th, stayed on strongly approaching final furlong, driven out closing stages
Mr Ed held up in rear, blundered 6th, headway 9th, went 2nd after 5 out, challenged soon after last, hung right, kept on same pace approaching final furlong
Croc An Oir held up in rear, headway when hampered 15th, went 3rd 4 out, kept on same pace run-in
Garden Feature in rear, driven along 11th, headway 5 out, disputing 3rd last, faded over 1f out
Snowy chased leaders, one pace from 3 out
Ross Comm in touch, driven 14th, never near leaders
Rakalackey prominent, outpaced when mistake 5 out, mistake 3 out, soon weakened
Innisfree led to 11th, weakened 5 out, tailed off 2 out
Devil´s Run prominent, handy 4th when blundered and unseated rider 15th
Dickie Lewis with leaders, reminders 14th, soon lost place, tailed off when pulled up before 3 out
Good Book mid-division, blundered and unseated rider 3rd
Mr Ed, who made a few mistakes on the way round, emerged as the major threat after five out and hard ridden by McCoy laid down a stern challenge to the winner after the last only to run out of steam on the long run-in. It was to his credit that he kept on for second.
Croc An Oir could hardly have been given a better ride. He was put into the race in earnest after five out and produced with a strong run from the last but was unable to peg back Mr Ed for second let alone lay down a challenge to the winner.
The well-backed Rackalackey was travelling smoothly on the heels of the leading bunch jumping six out, but a bad mistake at the next followed by another at the third-last cost him dear.
One to note for an early success could well be Good Book. A long-distance raider, he looked really well, came in for some support in the market only to unseat his rider at the third.
