Analyis of the race
Probably just an average bumper. PRESENT GESTURE, who had done precious little wrong in three previous starts, followed up her Downpatrick success last month under a penalty. She should do well over hurdles.
One More Gypsy, who had shown promise on her Bangor debut, proved wiser this time and came out best of the rest, albeit without having the pace to reach the winner.
Kinnaird Park, who had shaped well first time, again galloped home nicely, but without having the speed to launch a telling blow. He will benefit from a stiffer test of stamina over hurdles.
Sam Patch showed ability on his debut. Quacity, who came in for significant support, ruined his chances by hanging violently to his left, skirting the outside rail along the back straight and all the way back home as his jockey found it impossible to steer him.
