Loita Hills held up, steady headway before 4 out, led 2 out, soon ridden, kept on strongly from last
Newbay Bob in touch, effort 4 out, kept on under pressure from last
Spirit Calling prominent, driven and outpaced after 4 out, rallied to chase winner last, kept on under pressure run-in
Stravaigin led, ridden 4 out, headed 2 out, one pace
Beau Saddler prominent, outpaced after 10th, no danger after
Not A Trace close up until ridden and weakened before 3 out
Jamie´s Boy behind, struggling 10th, never on terms
The Royal Dub behind, driven along from halfway, tailed off
Newbay Bob, who has been point-to-pointing, returned from a ten-week break with a sound enough effortto come out marginally best of the rest.
Stravaigin made a spirited bid from the front, but was worried out of it from the second-last.
The first four finished well clear of the rest. The Royal Dub never looked happy at any stage.
