Bell Rock held up in touch, 6th and reminders after 3 out, went 3rd between last 2, stayed on well to lead last stride
Watership Down held up in rear, headway 8th, mistake next, jumped into lead 13th, ridden 2 out, kept on under pressure until headed last stride
Bolero Eclair in touch, chased leader 9th until 12th, driven after 3 out, chased leader again next until after last, kept on same pace under pressure

Briscoe Place chased leader until led 3rd, outjumped and headed 13th, 3rd and weakening when blundered 2 out, virtually pulled up after last
Gothic Charm led until 3rd, lost place 5th, behind and jumped slowly 10th, pulled up next
The winner had made much of the running when finishing third to Watership Down over 2m5f at Folkestone last time, but the roles were reversed here here, with Watership Down forcing the pace through the final mile and looking the likely winner turning for home only to be caught on the line.
Bolero Eclair, who was flat tothe boards from a long way out, was strongly ridden by James Owen to stay in contention throughout, and while this was his best effort since coming from Ireland, his basic lack of speed may continue to cost him.
