Analyis of the race
The ground was officially assessed as soft following the heavy rain. This time it was the turn of the stayers on a card littered with moderate handicaps, and they all headed for the stands' side up the straight. ARABIAN SUN had not won before, so at least his connections will remember the race. He is rated 51 and won easily, which, in the main, sums up the race.
Pochard had been in cracking form recently over hurdles, but that was on fast ground and the rain probably went against her. She is worth another chance when the ground dries out, as she could have a few pounds in hand considering her recent hurdles form.
Ronsard takes his racing well but does not win very often.
