Bushman in touch and always going well, shaken up to lead 2f out, soon clear, eased towards finish
Little White Lie held up, headway over 1f out, ran on to go 2nd well inside final furlong
Zero Cool tracked leaders, ridden and every chance 2f out, kept on but lost 2nd well inside final furlong
Ballinteni tracked leader to 2f out, one pace final furlong
Very Wise held up in rear, made some headway inside final 2f
Twilight Star slowly away, effort over 2f out, no extra inside final furlong
Bahar Shumaal led until ridden and headed 2f out, weakened approaching final furlong
Orchard Supreme always in rear
Masai Moon chased leaders until ridden 3f out, soon weakened
Boughtunraced for just 15,000 gns, he has had his problems, but he looked pretty smart when beating the useful Woolfall Treasure in a 1m2f maiden at Windsor on his second outing and he earned a crack at Royal Ascot's Listed Wolferton Handicap back at the same trip by making light of a mark of 92 here. Having powered right away in the final 2f to win easing down he will be in the low 100s probably when reassessed, but there is no telling yet what heights he might scale. He certainly won't be one to underestimate if he turns up at the royal meeting, although he won't be risked if the ground is rattling fast.
Little White Lie threatened to win a nice race over here for Ger Lyons last year and was fancied for the Lincoln on his return. He shaped quite well under top weight on his debut for his new trainer, doing best of three Hunt Cup entries and staying on under the stands' rail to take a remote second near the finish.
Ballinteni, formerly with the winner's trainer, was a soft-ground winner at two. He had his chance and there was no apparent excuse. Very Wise has rather lost his way, but he is well treated nowadays and he had his ground here. Tried in cheekpieces, he was steadied in rear until staying on up the middle of the track for a respectable fifth, just ahead of the slow-starting bottom-weight Twilight Star.Bahar Shumaal had Ryan Moore's assistance and was given a positive ride, but this ground is no good to him. That applies also to all-weather specialist Orchard Supreme and the suspect stayer Masai Moon.
