Befortyfour chased leader until led over 1f out, in command inside final furlong, ran on well
Royal Intruder outpaced in last pair, hanging right bend over 3f out, switched right well over 1f out, ran on well to go 2nd near finish, no chance with winner
Prime Factor outpaced in last, ridden over 2f out, headway on inner well over 1f out, chased winner final 100yds, no impression after, lost 2nd near finish
Maimoona off the pace in midfield, pushed along 4f out, headway over 2f out, ridden 2f out, kept on to chase winner briefly just inside final furlong, soon no impression and lost 3 places after
Lady Avenger outpaced in rear, headway over 2f out, ridden over 1f out, kept on but not pace to threaten winner
Kinout chased leading pair, ridden 2f out, weakening when switched right just inside final furlong
Ten Down led at fast pace, ridden and headed over 1f out, soon edged left and right, weakened final furlong
Lytton reared as stalls opened, veered right and unseated rider
BEFORTYFOUR had been so impressive in winning his Lingfield maiden but a mark of 90 seemed harsh enough on the face of it. However, he proved that theory all wrong, tracking the pace before moving through travelling strongly early in the straight and producing a smart turn of foot to clear away from his rivals to win with a bit more in hand than the margin suggests. He's clearly most progressive and he looks sure to be contesting Pattern races before too long.
Royal Intruder finished like a traindown the middle of the track but the line came too soon for him. He looks as though he'll thrive over another furlong.
Maimoona, having her first try on Polytrack, didn't really find a great deal at the business end having moved through to threaten briefly early in the straight.
Lady Avenger stuck on well from off the pace without threatening, but she is much more exposed than some of these and the handicapper appears to have him in his grip for now.
