Barney McGrew held up in touch, headway 2f out, effort and not clear run entering final furlong, squeezed through to lead last 100yds
Stevie Gee tracked leaders, headway 2f out, ridden and every chance inside final furlong, soon driven and not quicken last 100yds
Gunfighter dwelt and towards rear, pushed along and headway over 2f out, switched left and ridden over 1f out, stayed on well final furlong
Northern Dare close up, ridden to lead over 1f out, driven inside final furlong, headed and weakened last 100yds
Inter Vision held up towards rear, good headway 2f out, switched left and quickened 1f out, not clear run inside final furlong, kept on
Ingleby Arch led, ridden along 2f out, driven and headed over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong
Geojimali dwelt and behind, ridden along halfway, stayed on approaching final furlong, never dangerous
Distant Sun chased leaders, ridden along well over 2f out, soon driven and weakened well over 1f out
Trojan Flight held up in midfield, headway on outer halfway, ridden 2f out and soon beaten
Johannes chased leaders, ridden along over 2f out, soon driven and weakened well over 1f out
Tabaret chased leaders, effort and not clear run 2f out, no chance after
Curtail chased leaders on outer, ridden along well over 2f out and soon weakened
The winner hasn't had things go right for him on a few occasions this time, but covered up in behind the leaders, he didn't have a clear run at one point, but on his second attempt he got through inside the last furlong and ran on well. He now goes for the Wokingham.
As it stands the form is nothing special, for just over two lengths covered the first six home, with second going to Stevie Gee, who tracked the leaders and kept on to turn in another solid effort.
Gunfighter is one interesting one to take from the race, for he was slow to stride, got behind, but ran on well. He'll be interesting next time.
Ingleby Arch had every chance, Geojimali ran on from off the pace, while another to suffer trouble was Tabaret, who beat only one home but ran a great deal better than that form suggests.
