Jackday slightly hampered and steadied start, always in rear
Always Brave carried left start, soon close up, effort 3f out, ridden over 2f out, weakened well over 1f out

Morocchius always in rear
SHADOWTIME, content to get a tow, picked-up well to take command in the straight and he kept on well in the closing stages. Bought cheaply out of Mark Johnston's yard a couple of months ago, he looks a good buy and although he got away with it here on this uphill track, he wouldn't want the ground any quicker than this.
Smooth As Silk, making her handicap debut, stuck well to her task but she could never quite overhaul the winner. She should win something similar.
Gulf Coast ran a creditable race and should be able to find a winning opportunity.
There was a gap back to the rest, headed by Darley Star, who remains somewhat disappointing.
Ace Of Spies ran well for a long way, Jackday was done no favours at the start. Always Brave ran freely near the head of affairs and failed to finish off his race.
