This drop back in trip seemed to suit him, but he hung to his right under pressure and, being a son of Captain Rio, may have found this ground plenty quick enough.

Misplaced Fortune ran another sound race; she should find an opportunity somewhere down the line.

Take It Easee chased the leaders, became outpaced at the two-furlong pole but stayed on well late in the day, despite showing a tendency to hang. A seventh furlong will not go amiss.

Extreme North kept on. Select Committee could never land a major blow.
