Military Power tracked leaders, smooth headway 3f out, led over 2f out, ridden clear over 1f out, comfortably
Hunting Country close up, led 4f out, ridden along and headed over 2f out, kept on under pressure approaching last, not pace of winner
Green Wadi held up towards rear, headway 3f out, ridden along 2f out, stayed on final furlong, nearest finish
King Fingal tracked leaders, headway 4f out, ridden along 2f out, driven over 1f out, soon one pace
Plenilune towards rear, headway 3f out, soon ridden and kept on same pace final 2f
Brandane chased leaders, headway on outer 3f out, ridden over 2f out, soon hung left and beaten
Madison Heights held up towards rear, some headway 3f out, soon ridden along and never a factor
Bonny Bright Eyes always in rear
Fly With The Stars chased leading pair, ridden along 3f out and soon weakened
Mill Beattie soon outpaced and behind from halfway
Stellando slowly into stride, always behind
Monte Pattino slowly into stride, always behind
Banus Flyer took keen hold, soon led, ridden along and headed 4f out and soon weakened
Hunting Country confirmed the promise he showed on his debut and went down fighting in second place. He should have no problem losing his maiden tag.
King Fingal, who ran a sound race on his debut at Thirsk over a 1m, had no apparent excuses here over this longer trip, and he was found wanting in the last couple of furlongs. To his credit, he beat the remainder very comfortably, the rest of the runners coming home at various intervals.
