Ink Spot held up, ridden and hung right from over 2f out, headway over 1f out, ran on under pressure to lead well inside final furlong
Arabian Spirit chased leader until led 2f out, ridden and headed over 1f out, every chance inside final furlong, ran on
Kiwi Bay held up, headway halfway, led over 1f out, ridden and headed well inside final furlong
Romany Princess held up, headway over 1f out, soon ridden, not clear run inside final furlong, stayed on same pace
Thunder Gorge slowly into stride, held up, headway and hung right from over 1f out, hampered soon after, stayed on
Night Skier chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, soon outpaced
Tawzeea chased leaders, ridden and every chance over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong
Ten Pole Tudor chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, not much room and weakened over 1f out
Liberty Valance slowly into stride, soon prominent, ridden and weakened over 1f out
Salt Of The Earth led 5f, weakened over 1f out
Divine Power slowly into stride, held up, effort over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
However, it didn't stop him going forward and he came through to lead close home. The overnight rain helped his cause and this could be just the spur he needs to win again in this sort of company.
Arabian Spirit had needed the run on his recent reappearance at Great Leighs but improved on that effort and was always prominent until going on two out. He was collared in the closing stages, but he hails from a very much in-form stable and his turn in this company won't be too far away.
Romany Prince was held up, staying on in her own time when hampered by the winner, but wouldn't have been any closer.
Tawzeea had every chance over a furlong out but faded quite quickly in the closing stages.
