The winner hadbeen hurdling this winter, so did not lack in the fitness stakes and won with a bit up his sleeve. He should go on from here and will get further.
Ryedale Ovation looked as if he had done enough but the winner collared him close home. He will win more races for his new trainer in this sort of company as the pair were clear of the others.
