Analyis of the race
This trip took some getting in the slowing ground, especially with Colourful Life and Sunbolt combining to set a strong pace.
Colourful Life had been collared by ONE NATION when coming down at the third last, and One Nation was unchallenged from that point. The Pipe horse was a useful hurdler/chaser in his prime, but had been seen on three times since the backend of 2004 prior to this effort which confirmed that, albeit at the lowest level, he retains the ability to win races.
