Beechwood held up in midfield, headway to lead approaching 2 out, soon 4 lengths clear, ridden and stayed on well
Eljay´s Boy held up in rear, not clear run on inside rail on bend after 3 out, headway 2 out, driven to go 4 lengths 2nd approaching last, no impression
Masjoor held up towards rear, headway to dispute 2nd approaching 2 out, one pace
Kilmeena Magic chased leaders until outpaced approaching 2 out
Slo Mo Shun led, not fluent 6th, headed and weakened approaching 2 out
Just Beware in rear, ridden approaching 6th, stayed on under pressure from 3 out, not reach leaders
Palace Walk chased leader most of way until weakened 3 out
Ocean Pride towards rear, ridden and no danger from 3 out
Val Du Ciron held up in touch, promising headway to join leaders 3 out, weakened next
Hippodrome mid-division on outside, hard ridden after 6th, wide and weakened approaching 2 out
Holyfield Warrior chased leaders on outside, jumped right 5th, weakened after 3 out, behind when blundered next
Eljay's Boy was competing from a 13lb lower mark than in chases. Not without his share of problems, he staged a performance which suggests he'll do well, but his connections will be keeping their fingers crossed he stands up to training on this latest comeback from injury.
Kilmeena Magic performed with credit in novice company and, judging from the way she shaped on her switch to handicaps, she should soon get her head in front.
Just Beware didn't quite manage to get into the money, but she nevertheless ran as well as could be expected, staying on at the one pace at the end.
