Hoof It Harry held up in rear, jumped right 6th, ridden after next, some headway into midfield when pulled up suddenly approaching 3 out
Spider Boy led until 5th, pressed leader until hung left and weakened rapidly after 7th, behind when pulled up before next
Analyis of the race
The quick ground played to the strengths of KRISTOFFERSEN, who rewarded the persistence of his jockey who was hard at work on the home bend.
Having dropped in the weights, the winner picked-up well when enjoying racing room at the first in the home straight.
Sovereign Spirit ended any doubts that he doesn't get this distance with a tenacious effort and gave nothing away when battling with Kristoffersen. This was his best effort for a while.
Dandivito was inexperienced, but all his racing had been on slow ground. Back from a break, he raised his game to get into the money and can pick up one of these during the summer. He lost his place at the end of the back before staying on strongly.
Marigolds Way also likes to hear her feet rattle. She was in contention at the end of the back straight, but weakened in the straight. She was probably anchored by an 11lb rise for her recent win.
