Analyis of the race

Another three-and-a-half-miler, this time a handicap hurdle. GRAND SLAM HERO followed up his recent Ludlow success on his first run for his new trainer and coped well with this elongated trip. He actually won with a bit up his sleeve and, with the front two coming right away from the others, the form looks solid. Given that he looks to have turned over a new leaf in his new surroundings he can be placed to win again even though the handicapper is bound to react.

Rajayoga was stepping right up in distance on his first outing since last September and he seemed to see it out alright. However as it was mainly daylight back to the third he is going to be put up with the winner. It's In The Stars was placed again and has not won since his bumperdays, giving the impression he is not the easiest to train.
