Warpath made all, clear approaching last, driven out
Pearl King held up in rear, headway approaching 2 out, went 2nd last, hard ridden and no extra towards finish
Cheeky Lad took keen hold, headway 4 out, ridden and one pace from 2 out
Orrezzo prominent, jumped right 1st, chased winner after 3rd, jumped right 4 out, soon ridden, weakened flat
Kawagino chased winner until after 3rd, prominent, jumped slowly and lost place 6th, stayed on flat
Magic Sky held up, headway 6th, ridden after 4 out, weakened approaching last
WARPATH has shown his best form on lively ground and did so again. He probably had a shade more in hand than the distance suggests, as he had been in front a while and was always just going the better despite the runner trying to make a fight of it. He looks the type who might be aimed at the better handicap chases over the summer.
Cheeky Lad had run well on his comeback outing but seems handicapped up to his best.
Orrezzo had been hiked 25lb for two wins and found defying that big rise beyond him.
