Masaalek had shown promise in decent maidens at Newbury and Newmarket before getting off the mark on the all-weather at Lingfield and rather messed up his chance when slowly into his stride. Switched to the inside in the final two furlongs, he ran on well and looks capable of winning off his current mark on fast ground.
House Of Lords, having his first outing on turf, stayed on quite well. He will be suited by a return to a longer trip.
Noble Citizen wasn't disgraced and can be foundraces, while Born Tobouggie was prominent for a long way and kept on at the same pace inside the final furlong.
