Obezyana always prominent, led 2f out, ridden clear over 1f out, stayed on well, eased down towards finish
Just Bond held up, headway on outside 2f out, soon ridden, went 2nd 1f out, no real impression on winner
Xpres Maite tracked leaders, ridden 2f out, kept on same pace final furlong
Jawaab midfield, ridden and headway 2f out, kept on one pace final furlong
Memphis Man dwelt, raced keenly, held up, ridden over 2f out, stayed on final furlong, never nearer
Sotik Star in touch, ridden over 1f out, weakened final furlong
Chicken George midfield, ridden over 3f out, weakened 2f out
Fantasy Parkes led, ridden and headed 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Lap Of Honour tracked leaders, went wrong and lost place quickly 4f out, virtually pulled up final furlong
Just Bond is a much more potent threat on the all-weather but he does tend to run his best races on turf here and this was another. He came from well off the pace on the outside, although the winner was well gone when he gotXpres Maite has been in terrific form on turf and the all-weather since the fitting of a visor but looks held on this one-paced evidence. Mind you, he's so versatile regardingtrip and surface you can never rule him out.
In a race that few got into Jawaab and Memphis Man tried, and failed, to get any closer having come off the pace.
