Analyis of the race
A race that not many got into due to the trailblazing Miramare, who had poached a ten-length advantage by halfway. But FOLK OPERA had the leader in her sights throughout and wore her down to go on entering the final furlong. She is clearly on the up, gets this trip well and is likely to step up in class now.
Under The Rainbow, runner-up to a promising type at York, again ran into a decent sort. Holding every chance a furlong out, she was just outpointed in the race to the line.
Miramare looked to have everything in trouble turning in but just emptied from two down. If she can settle down a bit there are races to be won.
Ronaldsay produced a little bit of better effort as she tackled this longer trip for the first time. Pelican Waters was given a very patient ride as she stepped up markedly in distance but never threatened to get competitive.
